Discover the Heart of Ghana on the Accra City Tour
Step into history with a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, the final resting place of Ghana’s first President and a powerful symbol of the nation’s fight for independence. Wander through the serene gardens, take in the striking architecture, and explore the museum filled with personal artifacts and stories of Dr. Nkrumah’s life and legacy. From there, we head to the National Museum, where Ghana’s rich cultural tapestry comes alive through exhibits on archaeology, ethnography, and traditional art spanning centuries of West African history.
A Celebration of Culture and Independence
Our journey continues at the Art Centre for National Culture, a vibrant marketplace where local artisans display handmade crafts, traditional fabrics, beadwork, wood carvings, and more. It’s the perfect spot to shop for authentic souvenirs and engage with Accra’s creative spirit. We’ll also make a stop at Black Star Square, also known as Independence Square, a monumental site that celebrates Ghana’s freedom. Here, you’ll marvel at the iconic Black Star Gate and the imposing Independence Arch—great for photos and an unforgettable reminder of Ghana’s national pride.
Relax and Unwind by the Sea
To wrap up the day, we head to the famous Labadi Beach, one of the most popular and lively beaches in Accra. Enjoy the cool ocean breeze, local music, and the energy of the crowd—whether you’re riding horses, dancing to live drumming, or simply relaxing with a coconut drink in hand. Labadi is the perfect place to soak in the sunset and reflect on a day full of history, culture, and unforgettable experiences.
